NT4 DUN Configuration

- Open the Hard Disk
- Double-Click the "Dial-Up Networking Icon."

- Click the "New" button.
- Choose "I already know about DUN connections."
- Click the "Finish" button.

- Set the "Entry Name" with the name of your
internet service provider.
- Set the phone number (It is a good idea to add 3 or 4 commas
to the end of the phone number.)
- Don't use telephony dialing properties.
- Set 10 digit dialing or "call waiting" (*70,) directly
into the "Phone number" box.
- Select the modem in the "Dial Using" drop-down
list.
- Click the "Configure..." button.

- Set the correct speed for your modem (38400 for 33.6 or
slower modems 57600 for 56k modems.)
- Click the "OK" button.

- Click the Server tab to see the following window:
- Select "PPP:Windows NT,Windows 95..." as
the Dial-up server type.
- Select "TCP/IP."
- Select "Enabling software compression."
- Click on the "TCP/IP Settings..." button.

- Select "Server assigned IP address."
- Select "Server assigned name server address."
- Select "Use IP header compression."
- Select "Use default gateway on remote network."
- Click the "OK" button.

- Choose "Accept any authentication including clear
text."
- Click the "OK" button.

 |
- Click "OK" to connect to the internet.
